Posts: 247 (07/09/07 14:09:53) Swashbuckler Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	well the set-up is simple enough, the map on the back wall will show a kind of progression through the city. each area increases the difficulty of a given battle. To start there will be no random occurances but as you get deeper into the city more events happen. The pins on the map hold places for everyones warband, you can only progress by facing someone on your level- winning and advancing to an open pin in the next area, or challenging someone on a level high defeating them and taking there spot. But basically you can see who is above you in or around you on the map. So you can always use the boards to set up a challenge. I would like to have an offical league night but once again it should be on a night everyone can usually make it. Plus I don't wanna conflict with any other games. I know warmachine has a loyal following and if other gamers show up I don't wanna add to the lack of playing space. Nobody likes an angry gamers. I was think maybe set the offical night for wed. I think its board game night but mordheim takes up less space and time than most other games. Plus that crowd I think might join in so hopefully bonus points for all.

His idea was ya bid on the merc you wanna hire vs everyone else via a secret ballet. The winner gets the hired sword to start. Minimum bid would obviously be his hire cost. The acceptable ones are listed here. I don't have the rules for all but I will get them depending on if anyone wants to use the ones that aren't in the annual 2002 or the main rulebook. Anyway, lets focus on Fanatic Online and this issue is a Mordheim special. A Mordheim Nemesis Crown to be exact. For most of the year, the little known group calling themselves the Mordheim Nemesis Crown Development team have been generating top quality content so Mordheim Players can take part in this years Warhammer Global Campaign. The files themselves are a bit rough and ready in presentation terms, an unavoidable symptom of the already-mentioned packed month. Id have loved to have been able to spend more time on these to present this great content in an optimal format. So, what do these files contain? The first PDF contains the Terrain and Wilderness rules and the scenarios needed to play Mordheim in the Great Forest where the Nemesis Crown is set. Read it now. The second file contains seven new unofficial/house rule Warbands tailors to factions that would be operating within the Great Forest at the time of the Nemesis Crown. Read it now. The final file contains Hired Swords, Dramatis Personae and Random Events. Read it now. All three files together give Mordheim players a complete supplement for joining in with the Nemesis Crown campaign. I'm not planning on "Officially starting that night" maybe if space permits. But I would like to get every-one's input on what they would find enjoyable and what they would like to see happen. I think the nemesis crown is a good special side event, but I don't know how feasible it is in terms of a drawn out campaign.

I would have liked to have been able to meet up with people last thursday, but I guess alot of you couldn't make it. It was the plan to put it to a vote as to whether or not we should allow the bands that aren't on GW's list of approved.

If anyone has an issue with that please vocalize it here before then so we can decide a date that is workable for the majority. The kick off is going to be a group game, depending on the amount of players. If we have alot the winners will take positions on the white pegs and we will go from there. If there are less players then the winners will jump to the blue and the rest will land on the white. Your allow to team up in the group game to win, the rules for alliances are listed in the annual 2002. They can last a turn or the battle. Your allowed to play as many games a week as your want, with the limitation of only the same person twice in a week. (We are still working on the games allowed to turn down in a week) The kick off night everyone will be allowed to bid on the hired swords on the approved list previously posted. Minimum is there listed hire price. I think a 5 dollar entry fee is enough to get rolling. Its reasonable and gives us some kind of prize at the end.

Unless another day is better for everyone. If you can't make the group game you can just hope in and start playing after Monday using the map as a key to set-up games. Anyone not making it in the city. I.e. getting onto a white peg can just battle "outside" the city. If enough people are interested and can not make it Monday I will do more group games to accommodate them. So the only down side to missing Monday night will be the hired swords bidding. I will put up a sheet of who hired who next to the map on Monday.

Paul, Dave, Jared, and myself. AS of right now we are following the map of the city in the back of the story. Just read the tags to know what conditions apply where. Everyone is now outside of the city and you have to fight at least one fight to take a position on the map. The first few of you to get games in will take up the white pegs, those advance up to the yellows where they face other white pegs. from here on you can recruit hired swords when you reach the yellow peg. They can be hired at the base cost, just mark the posting I will be hanging next to the map. Games can be played at will, the only limit is you can not play the same person more than twice a week. And to limit people from freeze the upper ranks you will be lowered a rank if you go a week without playing. Any questions I will be at the store tomorrow after 4pm I hope. I am thinking to make wed the official night for the league, since it is the night for confrontation I think we can get a few more players that way. I will not be able to come down this wed I have personal issue that prevent me from being there. But I am free from that point on barring the unexpected.

The idea of the rule is to attempt to prevent anyone from turning down games just to hold their rank and not risk losing it. If your going away on a trip we are not going to drop you a level.

Which means every wednesday you can play the same people again. I'm not too worried about facing the same person twice in a row since that gets old for the player. So if two people play consecutive games they just have to wait till next week to play each other again. I'm picking wed in the hopes that we can crossover with some of the confrontation guys. Maybe get players in on both the games are similar at the core. Plus I know mordheim takes on average less time to play a game so you could get a game in waiting for a confrontation match to finish. Its just an idea and may fail in practice but it would be nice to get more players. Our current tally is Dave-skaven Steve- skaven Paul- I think Riekland but I heard maybe he dropped or was changing his army. Jared-Beastmen Cookie- Lizardmen Me-Possessed Josh-Undead Jay-Orcs (he said he was interested but I think work has kept him away.) As always the only bands just allowed are the ones I listed before we have to approve any others just to make sure they aren't broken. I looked into the clan pestilence skaven and they look fine to me.
