I was on red and I played jake. I lost, he moved to red and I played him again and won.

I may be mistaken, but doesn't the loss of your first match knock you back to the pin colors underneath red? Meaning, if you were pushed down from red to those lower pins and then fought your way back up you would be back on red not black?

I thought that if there was an open space at the same level as you and someone beat you, they would move up to the open space. But if there were no open spaces then you would move down.

no dave is right, but that does display a flaw in the dynamic of being able to play the same person twice in a row. But what can ya do really? FOr the next one I think will be some re-thinking, mostly on my time table. I feel I was not able to give the time required to run this properly for you guys.

I think that except for the beginning where you could play anyone, the league ran quite smoothly. But after a couple weeks intrest seemed to die down and everything slowed down.
My plan wasnt to play jake so I could get to black it was to get a game in this week so I wouldnt go down a peg and it just so happened that he beat me, which put another person on red, so I just thought I'd take the oppertunity. |

The simple solution would be that you can only play a person once in a given week or you can't play a person in back-to-back games.

Well the whole back to back gaming happened because there was such a low number of players to start.
Sorry dave I was not implying that your goal was that. I was just pointing out something I saw during the planning and was a possible evil I just figured we'd deal with if it became an issue. Its not in your case. I think it ran well for awhile too, but like I said I was not able to give it my attention as fully as I would have liked to due to my work situation. |
